Modular units from \u00d6stberg save money for Brf Aspn\u00e4s<\/h1>\n

The ventilation system in Aspn\u00e4s Housing Association was installed when the properties were built in 1970. As such, it had been running for more than 40 years when it was decided that the time had come to invest in a new set-up.<\/p>\n

Residential environments make high demands<\/strong><\/p>\n

A ventilation system used in residential buildings has to live up to stringent requirements \u2013 for several reasons. Firstly, the indoor air has a significant effect on health and well-being. And, of course, home is where we spend most of our time. So the design of a ventilation system for more than 500 apartments has a direct impact on the lives of a great many people.<\/p>\n

Efficient reuse of exhaust air saves money<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the Brf Aspn\u00e4s project, \u00d6stberg delivered 20 exhaust air units with a total air flow of 22 m3<\/sup>\/s. All units feature full exhaust air recovery. The association\u2019s electricity costs fell sharply following the switch to the new ventilation system, which uses just 21 per cent of the electricity that the previous system consumed.<\/p>\n

Compact units a precondition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Installing ventilation units in an existing property often means having to work in limited space. One of the distinguishing features of the \u00d6stberg unit is that it is remarkably compact, making it extremely suitable for projects of this kind.<\/p>\n

Installation of the units was performed by Windefalk AB, which has more than 30 years of experience in the ventilation industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>
