Expanded options for controlling the HERU Air Handling Unit are now being launched

Three different options are now being launched to control HERU residential units. The primary control option for HERU will be a completely newly developed app with full functionality for installation via Bluetooth where internet is not yet connected in the home, as well as for installation and full control of the Air Handling Unit via Bluetooth and LAN/Internet. When connecting via a wireless network, a WiFi adapter is required.

If you prefer to control your Air Handling Unit via a physical display on, for example, the wall, there are two further options to choose from as accessories.

Overall, the following options are available for controlling the unit:

IQ CONTROL APP (Main control option)
– Full version APP that controls, configures, and starts up the HERU air handling units.
– Included as standard when delivered

IQ CONTROL DISPLAY (Accessory)
Intelligent touch display with full functionality for installing and controlling your Air Handling Unit

IQ CONTROL EASY (Accessory)
Foiled wired control unit for wall mounting in an appliance box with control of basic functions such as forcing, temperature control, overpressure and away mode. The device also indicates alarms.

The control of most products and systems used in our homes today moves into our smart devices, it therefore feels natural that ventilation units are controlled via an App with full functionality.

The HERU IQC APP thus becomes the primary option for installing and controlling HERU residential units.

For those customers who want a physical control unit on the wall, there is the option of choosing either the full-function IQC Display unit or the simpler IQC Easy, with which you can control the basic functions such as temperature, forcing, etc.
The launch of a software-based APP as the primary control option is part of Östberg’s increased focus on sustainability, and at the same time minimizes the risks and challenges associated with the delivery of electrical components and raw materials for e.g., printed circuit boards,” says Mikael Östberg, product manager within Östberg Group.
