It is not just the lighting that distinguishing the P-Hämppi underground car park in Tampere. From the entrance, visitors are guided to an appropriate vacant space, and then when it is time to head out again, drivers are provided with directions back to their cars. The facility has space for around 1,000 cars, and it also contains charging stations for electric vehicles. In addition, P-Hämppi has won an international award for the best new car park in 2013.

Ventilation essential

If the ventilation system in a parking facility fails, the results can be extremely harmful to the health of its visitors. Therefore, good, reliable ventilation is quite simply essential. The units from Östberg meet these requirements in full. In addition, they are extremely service-friendly, which means that any shut-downs can be kept as short as possible.

“We’re proud to have been chosen to deliver the ventilation units to an environment as demanding as that of an underground car park,” says Magnus Eklund from Östberg.

Modular units open up opportunities

Modular units from Östberg open up excellent opportunities for combining sizes and air flow levels to suit all needs. In this case, the ventilation system comprises 16 specially designed modular units, providing a total air flow of 86 m3/s.
